Questions owners ask
What is Petym Answers?
- A library of short, sourced answers to the questions Indian pet owners ask most: one question per page, the answer first, then the detail and the primary sources behind it, with the date each fact was checked.
Where do the answers come from?
- From primary sources: veterinary bodies such as WSAVA, AAHA and the Merck Veterinary Manual, Indian institutions such as ICAR-IVRI and the Animal Welfare Board of India, and the Acts, rules, court orders and government pages themselves. Every fact names its source on the page.
Can an answer replace my vet?
- No. Health answers explain what the veterinary sources say and when to go to a vet, but they never diagnose or give doses. If your pet is unwell, call your vet or go to a 24-hour vet on Petym's city list.
Why does an answer link to a guide instead of explaining everything?
- Each answer covers one question. Where a full guide already covers the wider topic, the answer gives the short version and links to the guide, so you are not reading the same thing twice.
