Updated By Petym
Bathing, coats in the heat, nails, ears and safe cleaning at home.
Each answer starts with the short version, then explains it with the sources behind every fact and the date they were checked. Where a guide or tool goes deeper, the answer links to it.

- Is phenyl or floor cleaner safe for my dog or cat? Most cleaners are fine diluted and dry. Phenol and cresol cleaners are a real danger to cats.
- Are mosquito coils, vaporisers and repellents safe for pets? Use them in ventilated rooms, away from cats and birds, and never put human repellent on a pet.
- Can I use human shampoo on my dog? Not regularly. Human shampoo suits more acidic human skin and can dry and irritate a dog's thinner skin.
- How often should I bathe my dog in India? About once a month with a dog shampoo for most dogs, more brushing in between, and dry well in the monsoon.
- Should I shave my Husky or double-coated dog in summer? No. The coat insulates and shields the skin. Brush out the undercoat and keep the dog cool instead.
