Privacy policy
Updated By Petym
In short: Petym's waitlist keeps your email, your city and a few details of when and where you joined, and uses them for one thing: to email you when Petym opens in your city. Petym sets no cookies and uses no tracking. To see, correct or delete your details, email [email protected].
Who we are
Petym is a brand. It is not yet a registered company. It is run by Surya Kumar Muni, who decides how waitlist details are used. Petym is being built for pet owners in 14 Indian cities.
Petym's postal address: 59, NKP Layout, Bangalore 560002, India.
Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.
What the waitlist keeps
- your email address
- your name, only if you give it
- the city you chose
- whether you joined as a pet owner or as someone who would like to host
- the Petym page you signed up on
- when you ticked the box that lets us email you
- which version of the form's wording you agreed to
- when your entry was created
- when it last changed
If you join for more than one city, or as both an owner and a sitter, we keep one entry for each.
What we never ask for
No phone number, address, pet details, password, payment or health information. You do not need an account to read anything on Petym.
Browsing the site
Petym sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools. The site's font is served from Petym's own site, not from a font service.
When you send the waitlist form, Petym's server holds your IP address in memory for 10 minutes to stop repeated sign-ups. It is not saved with your entry.
What we use your details for
Only to email you when Petym opens for pet owners or sitters in your city. We do not use them for other marketing, and we do not sell or rent them.
The only other email we would send is a notice the law requires, such as a change to this policy.
Who else handles your details
GoDaddy, a US company, runs Petym's mailbox: emails you send to [email protected] are held there.
Hostinger International Limited (a Cyprus company) runs the server in Mumbai, India, that serves Petym's website and its waitlist. Its web-server logs record each visit's IP address, the page asked for, the time and the browser, and are deleted after 14 days.
MongoDB, Inc. (a US company) runs MongoDB Atlas, which stores the waitlist in its Mumbai, India region. Atlas keeps its database logs for 30 days.
We share your details with no one else, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep them
We keep your entry until Petym has opened in your city and emailed you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Then we delete it.
If your city has not opened within 24 months of your joining, we delete your entry then.
Your choices
- Giving your name is optional.
- To see or correct your details, email [email protected].
- To withdraw your consent and have every entry deleted, email [email protected] from the address you joined with. We will delete them within 7 days.
Keeping your details safe
The waitlist form limits repeated sign-ups, and only the person who runs Petym can read the list.
On the live site every connection is encrypted (HTTPS), and the database accepts connections only from Petym's own server.
Who the waitlist is for
The waitlist is for adults, 18 or over.
Complaints: the Grievance Officer
Petym's Grievance Officer is Surya Kumar Muni. To complain about how your details are handled, email [email protected]. We will resolve your complaint within one month of receiving it.
The law this policy follows
This policy follows India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
The main duties of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 start on 13 May 2027. When they do, Petym will update this policy and email the new version to everyone on the waitlist.
Changes to this policy
This is version 1 of this policy, dated 17 October 2026. The waitlist form's wording is version 2026-10-17.2. When either changes, the date and version here change too, and we keep the earlier wording on file.
